LSCF may be used as the cathode in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).
LSCF oxygen electrodes can be used in the fabrication of high-performance solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).
Lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF) belongs to the class of cathode materials that operate at low temperatures. It has mixed ionic and electronic conductivities with high electrocatalytic activity. It forms thin films with higher performance than the thick dense film.
Lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF) is a mixed ionic and electron conducting pervoskite. The ionic conductivity is lower than YSZ although maintaining high conductivity. X-ray diffraction and electrochemical measurements of an operational LSCF cathode was conducted to study its lattice expansion during use. LSCF can be prepared by solid state reaction of individual cation oxides.
