TOB Equipment Manual Coating Adhesion Tester for Battery Electrode Performance Testing
Product Paramenters
Application:
1. This manual coating adhesion tester is used to measure the adhesion of various coating films to the surface of the object to be coated. In the field of lithium-ion batteries, after the coating process is completed, it is used to detect the adhesion of the active material on the battery electrode to the substrate.
Working principle:
1.When turning the handwheel, the needle moves to the right at a constant speed and draws a circle on the substrate.
Storage and Transportation:
1. The sliding parts should be lubricated frequently to prevent rusting.
2. Before the measurement work, the oil hole and guide rail of the instrument should be lubricated and used horizontally.
3. Be careful not to hit the steel needle when moving the worktable.
4. A steel needle generally needs to be replaced after 5 times of use.
5. During the test, the steel needle must pierce the substrate at the bottom of the coating, and the drawn pattern shall be exposed to the surface of the board.
6. This instrument is not suitable for wood or plastic samples.
7. Pay attention to cleaning after use. And properly cover dust, moisture.
8. When not in use for a long time and transported, it should be wrapped in a plastic bag, with a built-in desiccant, a protective wooden box on the outside, and a soft material inside to avoid affecting the use of the instrument.

How To Use
1. Prepare the test substrate as required.
2. It is best to replace the steel needle with a new steel needle at the beginning of use, and the tip of the needle is about 3 mm away from the work surface.
3. Adjust the position of the needle tip according to the diameter that needs to be drawn, and then fix it with screws.
4. Press the coated side of the substrate on the workbench and press it tightly.
5. Put weights on the weight plate according to the regulations.
6. Lift the movable half nut to move the table to the outer end, and then lower the movable half nut.
7. Move the pressure rod so that the needle tip is in contact with the coating.
8. Shake the handwheel, the steel needle draws a spiral pattern on the substrate, and judge the adhesion of the coating according to the pattern.
Taking the scratches on the substrate as the inspection target, 7 parts are marked in turn, and they are divided into 7 grades accordingly, and the integrity of the coating film of each part is inspected in sequence.
E.g:
If the coating film of part 1 is intact, the adhesion is the best, which is rated as the first grade. If the coating film of part 1 is damaged, but part 2 is intact, the adhesion is rated as second level, and so on, and the seventh level is the worst adhesion.
Note that the result rating requires two specimens of the same grade to meet the standard.
